We were contacted by a customer in Petts Wood who wanted to convert their existing Garage into a shower room with utility options. We put them in touch with our structural engineer to check the wall we would be opening up from the house to the garage. When this was all approved and completed we worked to our engineers specifications.
Onsite we removed the wall between the small toilet and ground floor bedroom and blocked up the toilet doorway. We opened up the wall between the house and garage for a new door to be fitted. Next we blocked up the partition wall in the garage to make an en-suite shower room and make the room bigger.
We then bricked up the rear door and installed a new window. Next we insulated all walls and floor and then altered the drainage pipes and water pipes.
Next we installed a new down light extractor fan and shaving point. The next stage was to install the shower and w/c basin then tile and grout all walls and floor. We then laid laminated flooring to the bedroom and painted all walls, ceilings and woodwork.
The garage conversion in Petts Wood took around 3/4 weeks to complete and was put through building control inspection to make sure everything was standard.
