Full kitchen renovation work in Bromley
What we did
Our customer based in Bromley hired Thatcher Builders to completely renovate their kitchen area.
We removed the kitchen and toilet room and also removed the old flooring. We altered the electrics and plumbing and installed an outside tap.
Installed kitchen as per Benchmarx Kitchen design & removed the skirting. We laid a Ditra Mat base then tiled and grouted the floor in the kitchen hallway and living room. Next we installed new doors, architraves and skirting. We then made a built in cupboard with two sliding doors for cupboard space and washing machine. Lastly we prepared and painted the walls, ceilings and woodwork.

We had some challenges with the kitchen design, where some items (shelving unit, for example) needed to be made from scratch, i.e we were supplied large pieces of colour matched kitchen timber which needed to be cut down to size and then built to the pre-built units, as supplied by the manufacturer. The team took this into their stride – luckily their cabinet making experience came in handy in ensuring everything fit well, and Was seamless in its matching with the rest of the kitchen.
We also had asked for a small, wood-effect tile to be laid in a herringbone pattern, and the fitters did a great job laying it. Looks amazing!
Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better builder and team to work on the kitchen fitting. They worked on schedule, were on time, responsive, tidy and kind. Highly recommended!
