Thatcher Builders did a brilliant job and we would highly recommend them to everyone.The job undertaken was to... convert our downstairs into an open plan living area. They undertook the entire work from start to completion, this Included removal of walls, Building a new roof, installation of kitchen, tiling, flooring, decorating. The work was of Very high quality.The organisation of the work undertaken was very well planned and very smoothly carried out. Ray and his team were very reliable, friendly, punctual and trustworthy. They were on site every day throughout the project as planned and tidied up after themselves at the end of each day. Ray was very easy to talk to and communicate with and was happy to provide advice and ideas to help us achieve our perfect home. Amazing job! Ray did a complete renovation of our 4 bedroom arts and crafts style property, which needed a lot of... attention to detail and intricate work to retain and highlight the period detail. The work included 2 new bathrooms, carpentry on art and crafts wood panels, structural change to fit a new kitchen as the center of the house, refurbishing the fireplaces for fitting wood burning stoves, installation of bi-fold doors, a wood oven and a wine cellar. In addition they did a full rewiring, re-plumbing, painting and decorating.The workmanship was excellent, tidy, timely and great value.read more

Ray and his team did a great job for us. So much so I kept (keep) inviting him over to do more.He has done a new... kitchen for us full fitting along with installing gas lines. Done flooring, window work when our window guys let us down. Created a new shower room by converting half of a utility room into the shower.Next up will be the conservatory and decorations in due course.His team is always polite, helpful and informative. Genuinely very impressed with Ray. It is hard to find a good builder and you won’t go wrong with Thatchers. I have... had a number of jobs done by Ray including re-roofing a flat roof and internal building work including knocking down walls. He has always delivered a quality job at a reasonable price. If you have any problems or need anything adjusted whilst the building work is going on he and his team will sort this out for you.read more

Kitchen and Bathroom renovation - I would highly recommend Ray and his team, having had at least 5 builders round I... instantly felt that I could trust Ray and the work he did was truly outstanding, he made my dream kitchen and bathroom come true. He was fully supportive and gave excellent advice when necessary to make sure I got the best for my money. The quality of the work itself is excellent and even though both rooms were quite big jobs to complete Ray never made me feel anxious or worried about anything.
