What we did

We were contacted by a homeowner in Bromley via a recommendation. They had recently extended their kitchen to create a larger space for cooking and entertaining, and wanted to have a modern new kitchen installed to complete the renovation.

Challenge: After the extension was completed, the client needed to move their boiler to a new position near the window in a cupboard, and install a new radiator near the kitchen door. They also needed new plumbing for hot and cold waste pipes, and a complete overhaul of the electrics in the kitchen. The old kitchen needed to be removed before the new one could be installed, and the new worktops needed to be supplied and fitted. Finally, the pipes needed to be boxed in and new skirtings needed to be fitted. All of this work needed to be completed within a tight three-week timeline.

Solution: Our team began the installation process by moving the boiler to its new position and installing the new radiator near the kitchen door. They then completed the electrical work, fully rewiring the kitchen to ensure safety and efficiency. The old kitchen was then removed and disposed of, and the new one was installed according to the design by Penge Howdens. Thatcher Builders also installed new plumbing for the hot and cold waste pipes, and fitted the worktops supplied by Stones4Life. Finally, they laid new vinyl click flooring, boxed in the pipes, and fitted new skirtings.

Throughout the renovation, Thatcher Builders kept the client informed and updated on the progress. They addressed any concerns or issues that arose promptly, and ensured that the project was completed within the three-week timeline.

Outcome: The new kitchen was completed on time and within budget, exceeding the clients expectations. The move of the boiler and the new radiator helped to improve the functionality of the kitchen, while the new worktops and vinyl click flooring gave it a modern and sleek look. The tiled effect panels above the worktops also added a decorative touch, and the overall finish was completed with a full decoration of the kitchen.

Conclusion: Overall, the new kitchen installation project was a success, providing them with a beautiful, functional space that met their needs and exceeded their expectations.

The move of the boiler and the new radiator, along with the other electrical and plumbing work, helped to improve the overall functionality of the kitchen. The new worktops, vinyl click flooring, and tiled effect panels also helped to give the kitchen a modern and sleek look. The project was completed within the tight three-week timeline, and the clients were very happy with the end result.
